Work, Family, Motherhood...and Everything In Between
:: About This Blog ::
They say that when a child is born, a parent is born. This blog will tell my stories as I balance the demands of work, a social schedule and the rearing of my precious child. This blog will also tell you everything about home improvements (I have just moved to a new apartment). As a restless lady, I will also tell you my travel and vacation stories. Reviews on books, music, gadgets, fashion, shopping experiences, current events and business matters will also be discussed here.
I am now on the 5th season of NIP/TUCK. I am still amazed with this tv series. They just moved from Miami to California and they are struggling on making their name in this city. On one of the episodes, one healthy client wants to have vaginal reconstruction and laparoscopy. Personally speaking, I would really take into consideration the reputation for the surgeon and the doctor's surgical expertise, just like the credentials of Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore. Many young ladies say that they wouldn't go for any cosmetic surgery- I would do, if I will have the chance to do so. I am pregnant. I have minimal stretch marks on my butt and I have gained quite a weight. If I can't lose weight the natural way, I'm gonna go through liposuction.
About 3 months ago, I decided to finally move out from my folk's house. My in-laws have been very supportive of me. They moved my things using their Ford Piera, which is good because I didn't have to take any moving service. Hubby and I don't have plans of staying in the US for more than 10 years. We're just going to save enough to put up a small business. That's the reason why buying a house in LA is not a n option for us. I have read through one blog hopping one Pinay who decided to move from LA to NY and she had car transport service. She had a pretty good deal with Carmovers.com. The transaction was pretty smooth. On the other hand, Internationalmovers.com provides shipping quotes for internal moves and relocation. I'm checking their sites now to see what kind of deal this company has to offer.
I just couldn't bear the feeling that I am just a "part-time W." I am hurt... but it's ok. Whole-heartedly or involuntary, I have to understand. I have no other choice.
I am not sure if hubby's padala has already arrived in Cavite. I really want to see what's inside the box so that I can start shopping for Baby T's needs. Little Peanut is not fortunate enough to have male cousins. Well, I have a nephew, Kenneth but we already gave out his stuff to other children when he was 4 years old. With that, he won't have any pamana. That also means that I have to buy a stroller for him. Whenever I would go to the infant section of a department store, I can't help but to salivate over those strollers that are on display. I am already on my 7th month. I'll porbably start shopping 2 weeks from now. Teeheee!! I'm excited. :)
I hate Friday(s). I am just soOoO swamped with work depsite of the fact that I finish all the work that is due everyday. Grrr.....!!! It's a good thing though that Mark, Josh and I got to spent some karaoke time in Muchos. We left the bar at 10:30 am na. :)
I have one colleague in the office who is under the colon cleanse program right now. According to her, the effects of colon cleanse is just awesome. For a while, she has been suffering from over fatigue and recurring constipation. By undergoing the said program, it has improved her health condition. I asked her if colon cleanse will also be effective for pregnant women. She was uncertain so I had to research it on my own. I am now searching it in Google.
I had 2 people got promoted last week. I have one who is about to resign this week. The manpower that my team has is just enough. But with these current events, we might not be able to finish the target on time. That being said, we have no other choice but to render compulsary OT. I might have to come to work this Saturday. It's fine though. I am on leave on Monday. I just don't want to be behind our target.
I was supposed to but Mom a pair of eye glasses since it's gonna be her birthday on the 17th. I was drolling over those stylish eyeglasses that are on sale from zennioptical.com.
However, she doesn't want another eyegalsses since the eyeglasses that she has is still in good working condition. So what I gave her instead is that I created an account for in BPI. This is just right especiallyw hen the time comes I'll settle in US. I'll just have a bank-to-bank money transfer.
I woke up at around 4pm today. As soon as I woke up, I can't help but crave for Chowking's braised beef. So what I did was, after getting myself fixed and before heading to the office, I treat myself for a little 'date.' I ate my dinner at Chowking C-5. It was a good thing that the rain fell as soon as I entered the establishment and it stopped after finishing my meal. Despite of having heavy rains, nobody from team was late for today. Buti naman. Otherwise, Im gonna go ballistic again. LOL
Until I got pregnant, I have never been conscious enough about my health. Upon reading this article, I can't help but wonder if using this product is reallye ffective. I guess I would just take those Celle Client Testimonial.
Taking Control: Future Therapies for a Host of Serious Diseases May Be Found in Women's Menstrual Blood
July 07, 2008: 01:28 PM EST
OLDSMAR, Fla., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With today’s hectic lifestyle, where most women are juggling careers, family, relationships, and a host of activities, the idea of possibly facing a serious illness in the future is not something that readily comes to mind -- especially when a woman is in the prime of her life. But what most women don’t know, is that the key to treating a number of possibly life-threatening diseases that she, a parent, a sibling or even her children may face in later years, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, may be found within her own body -- in vital stem cells, which can now be harvested from her own menstrual blood.
Now, thanks to the revolutionary research and technology of C’elle, a service dedicated to providing women with a safe and easy method of collecting and preserving stem cells found in her menstrual fluid each month, even the busiest woman can take control of her future, right in the privacy of her own home. With C’elle’s non-invasive collection process, menstrual cells are processed and cryo-preserved (stored at a very low temperature) for potential cellular therapies that may be used in the future. These self-renewing cells one day may even be used for sports medicine or cosmeceutical treatments, such as anti-aging therapies.
"C’elle enables and empowers a woman to take control of her future health, and possibly of those genetically closest to her, in a fast, painless and stress free way," said Michelle Kay, Marketing and Sales Manager for C’elle. "We live in exciting times, as science and technology are discovering how extremely valuable menstrual blood stem cells really are, and the enormous treatment potential they represent for future therapies. C’elle’s ongoing research is supporting these promising findings."

I am now on my 28th week. Officially, I have surpassed my 2nd trimester and I am now facing the fears of getting into the 3rd trimester. There are just so many things runnining in my mind right now. Anxiety, fear, excitement, happiness, worries--all in. It's like an all star-cast episode of my life. I am trying my best to be mentally and emotionally prepared when I deliver baby "T." I guess, things would have been a lot better if hubby's hand will be there in the OR when the time comes baby "T" says hello to the world.
Anyhow, here's an update from babycenter.com on my 28th week.
How your baby's growing:
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
After hubby's package arrives, Iw ill start shopping for some baby items that are not included in the box. That means, I have to hold on to my shoes fetish for the mean time.
The package that hubby sent about a month ago is set to arrive sometime this week. Aside from some baby stuff that he bought, he also shipped the rims that his folks asked him to buy. It’s for their new Isuzu altera. He showed me pictures of the rims and I like it. It’s definitely far better than those being sold in Banawe. Because of my current health condition, I don’t drive a car (YET) but I’m planning to get one after our little bundle of joy arrived. Because of the unprecedented oil price increase, thinking of what car brand to choose will be extremely important. It has to be fuel efficient. I know that Honda cars are fuel efficient cars but I just like the interior design of American cars such as the Chevrolet cars. If I would choose a rim, I would like to have the Zo6 wheels like the one below.
I got addicted to these lines as I followed the NIP/TUCK series. I am not really into medical-related drama but this series just got me hooked. It’s all about plastic surgeons and how they change lives though changing the things that people want to enhance on themselves. I would also want to get give credit to Julian Mcmahon who exudes sexiness. I just love the butt exposures! LOL I just finished its 3rd season and I am now looking forward of seeing the 4th season. This medical drama series is a big break for me from watching these crime-related TV series. :)
As early as now, I am already thinking of Christmas. In fact, I would always listen to Christmas songs when I am at work. I am more than excited about this year's Xmas time. Maybe because my bundle of joy has already said "HELLO" to the world. But aside from this, I am excited over the Christmas parties that I'm gonna attend plus my nephew's birthday party. What I hate about Christmas though is the fact that I would always receive 'generic' gifts. I would appreciate it though if I will get to receive personalized gifts. I don't really care if it's expensive or not, as long as the gift is really meant for me. I hope that my baby would not get those generic gifts. LOL
